Our capacitance meter provides precise information about the actual energy content of a battery. When it is connected to a battery, it discharges it with exactly 10 A current until the discharge voltage of 10.5 V is reached and measures the elapsed time in minutes (i.e. 6 minutes display corresponds to one ampere-hour). Using a comparison table, the displayed actual capacity can be converted into the factory specifications (which are based on a different discharge current depending on battery size and type) and compared with the target capacity of a new battery.
